The United States Postal Service wants to help businesses in rural areas get their products to customers overseas. Partnered with the White House Rural Council (WHRC), the USPS is hosting free series which includes at least 60 Made in Rural America small business export workshops in 24 states from July 26 to August 31, 2016.
Aimed at helping local business owners who want to capture their share of the international market, in support of the White House Made in Rural America Export and Investment initiatives, the USPS and its government partners will provide local and regional expertise in international shipping and mailing, international marketing assistance, rural business development and related topics.
At 60 workshops around the country, local postmasters will demonstrate how to use the USPS online tools for mailing while educating attendees on global shipping options. “Our goal is to make expanding into foreign markets easier than ever imagined for rural entrepreneurs and businesses.” Said Deputy Postmaster General Ronald A. Stroman.
